Safe and Equitable Affordable Housing
CCA is part of a community-led movement, informing and mobilizing leaders from the Salinas and Pajaro Valleys to drive change within their neighborhoods.
Why It Matters
Throughout Salinas and Pajaro Valley farmworker and low-income families face issues with overcrowding, dilapidated housing, landlord abuses and increasing rent. However, CCA is supporting our hardworking communities who are coming together to organize and ensure that they and their families have the opportunity to thrive.

CCA cultivates farmworker leaders who empower their communities to create change. Our Viviendas program offers hands-on training so you can:
- Understand your housing rights and responsibilities
- Investigate and document housing problems – and get repairs
- Negotiate successfully with your landlord
- Understand the eviction process
- Get back your security deposit
- Form a tenant organization to defend your rights
- Work for safe, decent and permanently affordable housing in your area
